The saddle stem initiates the multi-paneled shaping and projects its pattern through the shank and finally the bowl.

Alluring straight grain is evident from the side panels of the shank, while swirling burls of smokey bird’s-eye decorate the top and bottom panels. The gentle angel hair grain found on the sides whip up and wrap around the bowl mimicking the lighting of the tobacco.
