This is one of the most dramatic pieces of work our pipe shop has ever presented.

The top of the pipe, shows a a dramatic display of a spike ( horn tamper )  penetrating through the base of the pipe as if a meteorite blasted itself into a rock. Mr. Tajima depicts the kinetic trauma with cracks surrounding the aperture that holds the tamper in place. The cracks break up the overflowing display of Birdseye grain and are highlighted with a florescent blue color.

The stem juts out adding to the drama of the forced penetrating image. The smokey blue swirl from the acrylic stem gives an aura of an event happening somewhere in the cosmos.
