Genius is found in the quiet, subtle nuances of art and this specific pipe is a perfect example of Mr Kitahara`s brilliance.
At first glance one can see that the pipe is ergonomically shaped with a gentle curve of the shank leading to the round bowl. You might imagine that it was made in a rigid manner, however the pipe is asymmetrically designed in an understated way. The rim is not discernible however it is subtly implied with an embroidery of Birdseye around the chamber. Thick luscious stripes of straight grain are found all throughout the shank and the equatorial circumference of the bowl. As a final touch to the pipe`s handsome charm, Mr Kitahara dressed it with a dark golden stain.
