Ryohei Domoto`s “Bamboo Mountain” pipe beautifully expresses a very unique charm! This long five knuckle shank pipe showcases some of the freshest looking bamboo this shop has ever come across. Mr Domoto begins the rhythmic pulse of the pipe from the stem. The first knuckle is made from ebonite and kicks off the pipe`s crisp tempo that naturally transitions to the shank. The bamboo is slightly curved and arrives to it`s final cadence at the unique bowl. The grain on this pipe is absolutely stellar. The top of the bowl displays straight vertical grain while the bottom has lovely smokey birdseye. Mr Domoto has managed to carve a complex shape and at the same time express the various qualities of the briar within that design. Amazing!!
